Cheese lasagna with garlic bread and wine. Lots of wine. D brought a friend home for a sleepover after hockey practice tonight. A great kid, but two nine year old boys is one too many. I don't love a lot of my kids' friends, but this kid had three helpings of lasagna and the peer pressure made D have two helpings, so I love him. He's also a complete doll with Lulu.
I made the lasagna earlier in the day, cheese with carmalized onions and red peppers. I used regular lasagna noodles, but didn't boil them first, just threw it together because my friend Amanda said you could. She was right. I noticed that they were a little on the gummy side, but no one else seemed to notice or mind. A salad would have rounded out the meal nicely, but you can't have everything. I'd be the only one to eat it anyway.
Here's a recap since last I posted:
Wednesday dinner - pasta? sandwiches? I'm not sure, that was so long ago and I've had a half bottle of red wine.
Thursday - Georgetown Saloon after car shopping. The kids had fish & chips, chicken nuggets and mac and cheese.

Maybe I make my sauce more watery (waterier?) than you? Or maybe I just like gummy noodles and don't realize it! Anyway, a few people at the CF said they do the same thing, but add a little water to the sauce.
(I am able to type right now because I am wearing my son in the Baby Bjorn you sent me. A thousand thank yous.)
It was pretty runny, maybe it was the brand of noodles, I think it was Barilla? Or maybe it needed to cook longer, or sit for longer after I took it out of the oven to allow the water to be absorbed. Anyway, no one noticed but me, so maybe I was just overthinking (over tasting?) it.
Glad you're using the Bjorn, I loved that thing and I'm certainly never, ever, ever going to need it again!
